Let’s Try to Save our Ash Trees!

The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has been responsible for the loss of millions of ash trees in North America.  EAB are currently present on properties surrounding Crystal Lake.
The Cities of Burnsville and Lakeville have contracts with and recommend Rainbow Tree Care, which provides a substantial discount to residents of these cities. Services include:

  • An arborist checking trees for EAB free of charge.
  • Rainbow will treat trees that can be saved. Inspections are in June. Treatment is required every two years.
  • Rainbow will remove tree that cannot be saved, also at a discount.
  • If requested, Rainbow will provide homeowners with estimates to replace lost trees.

If you want your trees inspected, email CLIA member Bruce Zweber. [email protected]. Include your first and last name, address, city and phone number (please indicate if your phone number is a land line or a cell phone). Requests must be provided by end of day May 15th.  Feel free to pass this information on to neighbors who don’t live on the lake.
Here is Rainbow’s information for those who wish to contact them directly:
