CLIA NEWS YOU NEED TO KNOW!

February 2024

Membership and Algae Permits Update
HOW ARE WE DOING?

Around January 15th you should have received the annual mailing from the CLIA asking you to sign a permit application for algae treatment, update your personal contact information and pay annual dues.  We requested that people submit their response by February 28th and as of yesterday, we have received responses from about 44% of lake residents.  This is just a friendly reminder to respond to the mailing if you have not already done so.

We need at least 51% of residents to sign algae permit applications so we can provide treatment during the summer months.  There are various types of algae, ranging from floating masses that interfere with watercraft to toxic species that can be harmful to pets and humans. The CLIA responds to excess levels by hiring a contractor to provide treatment.  Dues from residents pay for this work, along with other CLIA services like website management, fish stocking, lakeshore cleanups and social events.

Thank you to those who have already responded to our letter.

If you have NOT paid your dues for 2023…

It is NOT too late.  Simply mail your dues payment of $70 to

Please remember you cannot attend the Annual Meeting OR vote for the new Board Members unless you have paid your dues.
