You ask, we listen!

Last year two lake residents expressed concern about the garbage left by ice fishing visitors to our lake.  So the CLIA Board took action.  We’ve decided to make this an annual board responsibility.

Board members Jeannine Currie and Dave Perron distributed a letter and garbage bag to every fish house on the lake.  Here is what the letter said:

Hello Ice Fishers:
We are CLIA – Crystal Lake Improvement Association – reaching out to you at the end of the 2022-23 Ice Fishing Season. We hope you have enjoyed your time fishing on Crystal Lake together with your friends, family and some four-legged pals, too! We hope that it was a successful one!
Along with this message, we are leaving a garbage bag so that you can help all of us keep the lake clean at the end of the fishing season. Please use this bag to dispose all things you don’t need and bring the bags to the garbage bins located in the two parking lots.
See you this summer and thanks for helping to keep the lake clean!
